Summer Styling

Hello, Hello! I thought it was about time I share some of the outfits I've been wearing this summer so here's a quick catch up. I've picked up some great little pieces lately including a lovely tan blazer from Topshop which I am loving working in to outfits. Also, a floral bomber jacket from Zara which is still available now. A real statement piece and again great for finishing an outfit. At £29.99 it's a bit of a steal! I've tried to include stockists where possible so have a little look and see what you think!

I'm hoping to take some more outdoor, proper styled pics soon so keep an eye out.

Kafka Men

I was looking in to menswear trends and was told about a shop called Kafka. There are currently 2 in Aberdeen at the moment and they offer high end, quality pieces for men. Being an oil and gas city I imagine the trendy oil men and professsionals shopping there! The clothing is expensive but nice. A friend of my dad's is a regular shopper so I went in and got to take some photos.  Think smart blazers, chinos amd brogues.

The Church's brogues are classic investment pieces. Although pricy at £385.00, the company will repair them for free and an unlimited number of times after purchasing them. Kafka also stock the navy Boglioli blazer above which I have been told is the Rolls Royce of blazers!

Aberdeenshire Fashion Week

June was a busy month for me as I also found myself attending Aberdeenshire fashion week at The Copthorne Hotel. A far cry from London fashion week but nonetheless a great way for our city to put itself on the fashion map. The show presented the A/W collections of local designers from the surrounding area as well as a special guest from London, DK Darlington. I was lucky enough to get a press pass securing a front row exclusive. (First stop Aberdeen, Next stop Paris!) This is definitely the dream...

Union Square Fashion Weekend

Back in June I was invited to go along to the fashion weekend at Union Square shopping centre. It was basically to showcase the latest trends in clothes, make up, hair, perfume by the retailers. I got to meet the lady in charge of marketing and get some interviews too. Live mannequins were one of the focal points (they didn't move an inch the whole time!) The main trends shining through at the time were emerald green, monochrome and florals. I wore my boucle cardigan, a statement necklace, black dress, studded boots and a brown satchel.

It's a Spring Thing

Due to writing my column, I've been neglecting my blog but I really want to change that! I'm going to be uploading all my photos and topics from my column  (might not be completely relevant now) but hopefully you'll enjoy the photos I've taken.

First up is neon brights and colour blocking at the beginning of summer. I fell in love with bold yellows and lime greens - the ultimate way to freshen up your wardrobe.
