Good Morning Fashionistas! Welcome to my brand new blog! It's something i've wanted to do for a long time but being a full time procrastinator I never got round to it! Much to my delight I was informed that this is my new project for my fashion communication module. Voila my blog is born! The other up and coming coursework involves making a fashion magazine! - it's safe to say i am loving this module already! I'm so excited about being a blogger and talking about all things fabulous and fashionable! Hope you enjoy!
The first thing I wanted to share with you are my recent purchases! It's definitely beginning to feel like winter now and time to pack away the summer wardrobe for another year. With the Autumn/Winter season giving us plenty of choice, I was keen to buy my first few winter essentials. I was really surprised by what the high street had to offer already. I especially love my new coat - such a great find and an absolute bargain for students in comparison
Patterned Knitwear - Primark £16.00 (Looks best slightly oversized)
Boyfriend Coat - Primark £30.00 (Love!)
Pink Fur Collar - H&M £7.99 (Just had to buy this! A cute little addition to any winter outfit)
Grey dress with black lace sleeves - H&M £14.99 ( Fits in great with the gothic trend for A/W) to similar ones in Topshop!
H&M Pink Angora Jumper £19.99
I really am enjoying H&M at the moment. The Lana Del Rey A/W ad campaign is stunning. When I got my catalogue in the post a few weeks ago I got a bit carried away and embarked upon an online spending frenzy! I'm still waiting for this little beauty though as it didn't arrive with the other items. Funnily enough we are learning about fashion logistics at uni this semester - distribution problems! When it does eventually arrive though it will be a lovely winter staple which will go with most things!
This is another boyfriend coat I found, available from Topshop, priced at £89.00. Very similar to the primark version as i mentioned. I have a lot of appreciation for this style at the moment, masculine with a vintage feel! The leather detail on the collar is a great touch. The primark number also comes in this blue colour but this one is a great investment if you have the extra pennies to spend!
I recently bought this sweater from ASOS at £25.00. It captures the leather sleeves trend we have seen everywhere lately! I thought this was a fun twist on convential knitwear, combining the 2 fabrics for a more daring look! I wore this with denim shorts, tights and my red vans for a music event with my friends.
For a more weather appropriate outfit it would be perfect for layering up and could be easily paired with other items in your winter wardrobe!
My sister came home from edinburgh this weekend with a new hat from Accessorize which I had to mention as hats like this are popping up everywhere again! If only i suited them! The burgundy bobble hat is priced at £15.00 and really is a winter must have! The gorgeous colour is bang on trend this season. Model Cara Delevingne is pictured here in a similar one. I had to get a picture of her in as she is my absolute favourite right now! You'll probably notice me mention her a lot in future posts. She appears to be quite a fan of hats at the moment!
She still looks beautiful even when she's pulling a silly face!
All for now. KG x
